50 years and a new name !

Wheelabrator Allevard celebrates its 50th birthday
Wheelabrator Allevard has become Winoa


50 years old already! Only 50 years?
So much has happened since the creation of Wheelabrator Allevard in France in 1961.


In half a century, the Group has left its cradle, in Isère valley, to conquer the world: Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, just some of the territories where we are now solidly established. We provide metal and stone-working industries with optimum solutions for the surface transformation of their products.

In 2011, we are the leading world manufacturer of steel abrasives. A strong position that we owe to the skill and commitment of our workforce and to the trust placed in us by our customers, for which we offer our heartfelt thanks.

Armed with is wealth of past experience, Wheelabrator Allevard is looking to the future. Capitalising on its previous successes, the company has defined new targets to be reached:

> quantitative target : become and remain in pole position on each of its active business markets.
> qualitative target : make excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction the driving force of its success.


To mark this strategic change in policy, the Group has decided to adopt a new corporate name: Winoa

A name that symbolises:

> our attachment to our roots (the W and A of Wheelabrator Allevard)
> the importance of INnovation for our future
> our resolve to be winners, by making our customers winners (WIN)

We trust that, for all our teams, Winoa will rapidly become the banner expressing the cohesion of our group.

We also hope that, for all involved, whether customers, partners or employees, Winoa will soon be synonymous with the values of innovation and excellence that have been the mainstays of our growth.
