Winoa contributes to the development efforts of emerging countries where it operates its plants. To this end, the Group has chosen to concentrate its resources in India, in the Delhi region, resulting in two measures taken in partnership with the humanitarian association Plan International.
The aim of the "Dhabas kids" programme is to promote the social reintegration of street children by giving them access to education, health services and recreational activities. Hundreds of children and their families have already benefited from this programme.
The new "Saksham" project also concerns India. The objective here is to get people into jobs. The challenge is to provide concrete help to 3000 marginalised boys and girls obtain a decent and dignified job through training programmes and suitable follow-up services.
Within the context of its corporate social responsibility policy, Winoa has a long-term commitment to take measures focused on the condition of young people. Over the coming years, it intends to invest in setting up similar programmes in other countries where the company is active.
