Winoa has, within the framework of corporate social responsibility, a long term commitment to actions which focus on the condition of young people. Its willingness in the coming years is to invest in the implementation of similar programmes in countries where the company is active.
Winoa intends to contribute to the development efforts of emerging countries in which it operates. In view of this, the Group has chosen to concentrate its means on India, in the region of Delhi, through two actions in partnership with the NGO Plan International.
Founded more than 75 years ago, Plan International is one of the largest development organisations in the world. It intervenes in 52 developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to promote children's rights and to lift millions of children and young people out of poverty.
For many years Winoa has been supporting Plan International France in their combat against child labour and in the promotion of professional training for young people, particularly for young women.
For the past 3 years Winoa has supported the Dhaba Kids project which aims to tackle child exploitation in the context of child labour.
Winoa has supported the Saksham project since 2010. This project is concerned with the integration into the world of work of young people. Its objective is to give access to decent job opportunities to under-privileged young women and men from urban and rural areas through professional training and self-entrepreneurship.
